New Battery Act (BattG2)
Since 1 January 2021, anyone wishing to place batteries on the market in Germany must register with the Foundation for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (stiftung elektro-altgerÃĪte register, stiftung ear). This registration replaces the previous obligation to notify the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) of market participation.
