Skypark Business Center
Right next to Luxembourg Airport, the Skypark Business Center has become a new architectural landmark. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), the complex offers around 70,000 m² of space on six office levels and six parking levels with 1,516 parking spaces. Behind its bronze-coloured louvred façade, it brings together offices, retail, restaurants, childcare and a hotel. The building is largely supported by a timber structure – a clear commitment to sustainable construction.
This made the emergency lighting a special task: the solution had to meet the high safety requirements of a building of this scale, blend discreetly into the demanding architecture and remain flexible when tenant areas change in the future.
RP-Group was actively involved in planning the emergency lighting and developed and implemented the concept together with the installer – from planning to commissioning and acceptance. In total, RP-Group supplied slightly more than 5,500 emergency lights and exit signs.
They are self-contained emergency lights connected via a wireless mesh network to our Wireless Professional system. Every single light is visualised, monitored and controlled there – without additional control cables and remotely, if required. Especially in a building with many different tenants, this saves time during installation, testing and maintenance.
